Via Asian Gypsy I reach the Australian web site of The Age. Here we can read that the police in Beijing has ordered bar owners not to serve black people, who ever they are, and Mongolians. A gay bar has been ordered to close during the Olympics. I remember one of the Mongolian friends saying that Chinese people are bad people, thinking the friend was a little bit xenophobic. It seems as the pre-olympics charm school in China has not included the "treat all equal" though.
Leaving UB for Stockholm we had to wait for one hour at the transit desk in Moscow. Just to see the Russian authorities humiliate all people looking Muslim or Mongolian, among them a Mongolian wrestling team. The border police woman was a fatter, less well dressed copy of Helga in the TV serie 'Allo, Allo'... Arriving in Stockholm what goes around came around when it was the Swedish border police checking the Russians extra thoroughly.
It's a mad world.
